If you have a kid in Green Bay Area Public Schools, here's how Tuesday's vote went. Voters approved a four-year, $158 million referendum for the district, according to unofficial results. WFRV Local 5 counted 26,680 yes votes to 22,671 no.

The district said it needed the money because of reduced state and federal funding. Officials also point to an expiring referendum, declining enrollment and inflation.

Chief Financial Officer Angie Roble said federal money is allocated to specific students and "can only be used for specific things," which is why referendum funding matters for everyday operations.
