Packers

The Packers hope Micah Parsons can start practicing this week

Micah Parsons' return to the field may be only days away. Coach Matt LaFleur said the Packers intend to start practicing the All-Pro pass rusher this week, and the team is hopeful he can return to the practice field after last season's torn ACL.

Parsons has missed eight games, and a 21-day clock starts at his first practice

21 days
to activate him once he practices

That first practice opens the 21-day window to bring him off the . If it's Wed., Nov. 4, he likely would debut no later than the Rams trip on the eve before Thanksgiving. A later start opens the door to Dec. 6 at the Saints. LaFleur said if he had to bet, it's more toward the longer end of that window.

When Parsons first practices could decide his debut date

  1. Nov. 2LaFleur says the intention is for Parsons to practice this week.
  2. Nov. 4If he practices, his debut would come no later than the Rams trip before Thanksgiving.
  3. Dec. 6A later first practice could push his first game to the Saints in New Orleans.
  • Josh Jacobs: LaFleur expects him to stay as the NFL investigates
  • Zaire Franklin: day to day with a shin injury, could practice this week
