- ➤ The nearly 100-year-old suspension footbridge at Pamperin Park is getting a facelift as NWTC carpentry students repair the footpath and handrails using donated materials from Drexel Building Supply and Toonen Properties—efforts expected to extend the bridge’s use for the next 20 years. The bridge is closed to pedestrians Monday through Thursday for the next couple of weeks but will open on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for pictures. 94.3 Jack FM

- ➤ In Green Bay, health experts note that colds, sinus infections, and strep throat are increasing as flu cases are expected to peak by mid-October—officials recommend vaccinations and thorough hygiene to help prevent illness.
