- ➤ A local couple from Door County bought the old Sal's Foods building in Allouez to reopen a neighborhood grocery store that will serve organic groceries, produce, wine, and beer. - ➤ The state budget has set aside $20 million to expand the Port of Green Bay by removing downtown coal piles so that the full project can finish at least five years earlier and at a lower cost. Brown County has already received about $33 million in grants to ready the north end while the city may chip in up to $2.2 million to cover any funding gaps — the move is expected to boost local economic growth.
