- ➤ Brown County Parks Director Matt Kriese said 30 miles of cross-country ski trails at Barkhausen (in Suamico), Reforestation Camp and Neshota are groomed for skiing, snowshoeing and hiking as early snow gives locals a chance for winter fun today. FOX 11
- ➤ Ariens Snow Hill at Titletown opened its winter season on Friday, Dec. 12 when riders bought tubing tickets at the Admissions building next to the hill and completed required waivers, with free tubes provided + all riders meeting the 42-inch height minimum. FOX 11

- ➤ Ashwaubenon second graders at Valley View Elementary got a surprise on Friday when their September hat designs were turned into handmade winter hats by the Kaukauna knitting club— a creative project marking the second year of the annual gift. FOX 11
- ➤ Elena Talingo, a 19-year-old in the Rising Phoenix program, is accepting her bachelor's degree today at UW-Green Bay after earning 132 credits in supply chain management and saving over 80,000 dollars, and she will move to Minneapolis next month to work for Honeywell Aerospace. FOX 11
- ➤ Green Bay Area Public School District is now facing an extra $2 million funding gap as state reimbursement for special education fell to 35% from the projected 39%. District leaders say further budget cuts — including hiring freezes and delayed tech purchases — will be needed to handle the shortfall. WNCY
