- ➤ The Wisconsin DNR reported that during the gun deer season from Nov. 22–Nov. 30, hunters registered 182,084 deer, a 0.8% drop from last year, with antlered deer decreasing by 2.6% and antlerless increasing by 0.9%. Marquette and Vernon counties led in harvest density. NBC 26
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The common council voted Tuesday night to send the short-term rental rule back to city staff after community feedback. City staff will draft new guidelines that the Plan Commission will review in January — officials have not confirmed further details. WBAY
- ➤ After more than two and a half months of construction, E. Mason Street between Jaster and Main reopened for two-way traffic on the east side today - crews rebuilt the road and replaced aging utilities. FOX 11
- ➤ Drivers are advised to slow down amid snowy roads as Public Works directs keeping 200 feet behind snowplows for safe travel — police note that speeding on icy curves increases accident risk during early morning and evening. FOX 11
