A free market was held Saturday morning at Union Congregational Church in Green Bay where nearly 500 community members picked up clothing, school supplies, and nonperishable foods — items offered for free without any money exchanged — to support those on tight budgets ahead of the holiday season.

The 41st Green Bay Holiday Parade took place on November 22 with Mayor Eric Genrich, CEO Brad Toll, school bands, and local groups joining in the festive event.

The New Community Shelter broke ground on its $14 million supportive housing project on November 18 to build 41 affordable apartments with access to case management—life-skills training, mental health care and substance abuse support—located across the street from the current shelter at 301 Mather St.
