ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Responders were dispatched to a fire on the 2700 block of Brookside Dr in Freedom Saturday afternoon—arriving at 1:15 p.m.—and quickly controlled the blaze with help from Freedom Fire's brush unit. FOX 11
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ The UWGB campus hosted a free two-day Hmong New Year event over the weekend that marked the end of the harvest season and honored Hmong settlers who came to America after the Vietnam War — more than 25 vendors offered cultural drinks and snacks while community members enjoyed traditional dance, sports and social games. SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Exclusive negotiations between the USL and Green Bay have started to bring professional men's and women's soccer teams to the area after a semipro team folded in Ashwaubenon. City leaders are seeking financing and a location for a 5000 seat stadium & planning a mixed-use development as the negotiation window runs until next September with two six-month extensions. FOX 11
- ➤ The Packers beat the Giants 27—20 on Sunday, and many fans were upset because the team gained less than 300 yards and held the ball for less time despite the win. Some fans blamed coach Matt Lafleur and poor kicking—while still hoping the team will do better in the seven games left. WNCY
