Packers players will sign autographs for fans at local businesses on Monday evenings this holiday season to support the Salvation Army's Red Kettle campaign.

The events will begin Nov. 17 at Fleet Farm in Howard where fans must donate at least $50 to help reach a goal of $1.33 million.

On Thursday, Jackson Elementary fourth graders distributed 61 donated homemade scarves at Colburn Park—each marked with a warm note to help people in need.

The project also served as a social studies lesson while Linda Saugstad, who knitted the scarves, said the activity shows local care.

The Rotary Club of Green Bay and the Rotary Foundation of Green Bay, Inc. partnered with The Business News to call for nominations for the 43rd Annual Free Enterprise Award that will honor local business leaders in Brown County — nominations must be submitted by December 3.
