COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Salvation Army corps in Green Bay and Fox Valley began their holiday bell-ringing yesterday — the Greater Green Bay team set a goal to raise $1,330,000 for year-round services. In Fox Valley, the campaign included a donation match of up to $1,700 at the Gustman Subaru dealership — non-perishable food and toys were also welcomed.  WNCY
  • This weekend, Green Bay will host a range of events as WWE NXT Live will take place at Resch Expo on Nov. 14 at 7:30 p.m., the Gamblers will contest two hockey games against Cedar Rapids RoughRiders on Nov. 14 and 15, and a film screening is scheduled at Tarlton Theatre on Nov. 15. Additional activities include kids story time at Daily Buzz, a tribute concert at Meyer Theatre, a Matthew West concert at UW-Green Bay on Nov. 15, and Hmong New Year celebrations at UW-Green Bay Kress Events Center and Riverside Ballroom on Nov. 15 and 16.  Green Bay Press-Gazette

  • Koko Sushi and Steak Lounge on Lombardi Ave in Green Bay was served an eviction notice taped to its door on November 11 that states the restaurant must vacate the premises by 8 a.m. today—failure to comply will result in forceful removal.  94.3 Jack FM

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Green Bay-area school districts met expectations on report cards released November 11, with every district earning three or more stars; however, Green Bay had one-star schools while De Pere earned five stars+ state changes make it hard to compare growth scores year over year even as most districts saw fewer chronic absences.  Green Bay Press-Gazette
  • On Wednesday, December 10 from 4:30-7:30 p.m., over 200 student researchers will gather at the Lambeau Field Atrium for the Tiny Earth in Titletown Winter Symposium to present research on fighting antibiotic resistance—keynote speaker Fred Appelbaum, MD will share his work in cancer treatment. GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Green Bay’s city council approved exclusive negotiations with the USL on Tuesday to plan a pro soccer team and a 5,000 seat stadium that will also host high school sports, concerts, and other events—USL officials will hold listening sessions and plan the project until September with a possible one-year extension.  WNCY

HEALTH NEWS

  • Outagamie County health officials warn that whooping cough is spreading in the community amid rising cases of flu, RSV, COVID-19, and the common cold. They advise parents to check that children are vaccinated since older students in school can pass the disease to younger siblings.  WNCY
  • The Green Bay Packers and the Red Cross hosted a blood drive yesterday at Lambeau Field from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. in Johnsonville Tailgate Village (in the parking lot), where all blood types were urgently needed and walk-ins were welcome although appointments were encouraged.  WBAY

  • Green Bay Charity Softball Game will be held on June 5, 2026 at Fox Cities Stadium with a first pitch at 7:05 p.m. The event will be hosted by Packers quarterback Jordan Love (raising funds for his Hands of 10ve Foundation) and tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Thursday.  WNCY
  • Green Bay Charity Softball Game will be held on June 5, 2026 at Fox Cities Stadium with a first pitch at 7:05 p.m.—Packers quarterback Jordan Love will host the game to raise funds for his Hands of 10ve Foundation while longtime Packer Donald Driver is set to appear and tickets ranging from $20 to $85 go on sale at 10 a.m. Thursday.  94.3 Jack FM
