COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Green Bay police collected 275 pounds of unwanted medication at three drop box locations on Saturday during a national drug take-back day. Officials said the event helps safely dispose of expired and unused medications—protecting waterways and reducing the risk of misuse.  WBAY

BUSINESS NEWS

  • WE Energies will distribute the 2025 Cookie Book—featuring customer recipes—throughout Wisconsin in the first two weeks of November, with a new location in Union Grove for Racine and Kenosha residents and online downloads available starting Nov. 1st. The annual publication follows past editions that featured recipes from grandmas, professional bakers, and first responders and is expected to attract a wide range of readers.  Green Bay Press-Gazette

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • On Saturday, city workers, the Conservation Corps, and volunteers gathered at John Muir Park to remove invasive buckthorn and learn how to produce biochar— a charcoal that improves soil health and clears trails for deer paths. The project is part of a national Make A Difference Day effort to restore local park ecosystems.  WBAY

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Police reported that traffic lights went out at the intersection of W Mason Street and Military Avenue, and they advised drivers to treat the crossing as a four-way stop—using alternate routes where possible. The repair time remains unknown.  FOX 11
