- ➤ Green Bay Packers and Sargento are hosting a drive-thru food drive at Lambeau Field on Oct. 28 from 2—7 p.m. to collect nonperishable items for Paul's Pantry, with donations accepted in Lot 4 off Lombardi Avenue. FOX 11
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay’s Sharon J. Resch Institute of Music will present Handel’s Messiah (Dec. 6) at Cofrin Family Hall in a collaborative performance with local high schools. UW-Green Bay Theatre & Dance will co-produce Big Fish: Small Cast Edition (Nov. 13 through 15) to showcase student talent and explore a celebrated story of family and adventure. UW-Green Bay
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ A new deal between UW-Green Bay and Fox Valley Technical College now gives Criminal Justice and Business students an easy path to earn a bachelor’s degree — students will transfer with junior status and save on tuition. The memorandum was signed Thursday at Fox Valley’s Public Safety Training Center. WNCY
- ➤ Notre Dame Academy in Green Bay received an $11 million donation from the Norbertine Order—$10 million for a historic endowment and $1 million for a capital campaign to renovate classrooms and science labs—that will boost its academic programs. WTAQ
- ➤ Green Bay Area Public School District invites parents and guardians to join three community input sessions as the search for a new superintendent begins—one session is set at the district office on Nov. 5 while two are scheduled at the Neville Public Museum on Nov. 4, with a survey to follow. Interim superintendent Vicki Bayer will serve through the 2025-26 school year as the district plans for a new leader to start in July. WTAQ
- ➤ The University of Wisconsin–Green Bay will receive $658,845 for projects that boost research and training for high school and undergraduate students to address water quality issues—like phosphorus runoff, farming water management, and peatland plants. - ➤ Two sections of Cherry Street in downtown Green Bay are set to close Monday through Friday next week for pavement repairs (between N. Jefferson and the east alley and between N. Madison and N. Monroe). FOX 11
- ➤ Green Bay’s fall curbside yard waste collection began October 13 and will not pick up material placed out after November 23—residents who leave waste on the road or fail to separate piles face fines. Green Bay News Network

- ➤ Green Bay Metro Fire Department and Emplify Health by Bellin launched the free PulsePoint app on October 23 to alert CPR-trained citizens to nearby cardiac emergencies and guide them to AEDs — offering life-saving support in real time.
