- ➤ Green Bay’s Olde Main Street District night out offers residents exclusive deals and hands-on activities from Sept. 15 through Sept. 17, with local businesses offering food samples, crafts and art classes during evening hours from 5 to 8 p.m. Attendees check in at Main Street Square to explore self-guided stops and even ride the event trolley + enjoy mini dance lessons. ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ On Saturday, a fire damaged the Convergen Energy facility in Green Bay where crews arrived at 4:40 p.m.—damage is estimated at $30,000 and a spark from equipment is believed to have started the blaze with no injuries. WHBY

- ➤ Lamers Bus Lines is short about 40 school bus drivers and is recruiting new ones to keep all routes running smoothly. The west side is hardest hit with needs in west Green Bay, west De Pere, east De Pere, and Howard — strict regulations and COVID losses have reduced the pool of drivers. Green Bay Press-Gazette

- ➤ UW-Green Bay will host the Midwest Viking Festival on Friday and Saturday, September 19th and 20th on the Viking House grounds—this free event will feature guest speakers sharing Sámi and Finnish traditions. The festival will run from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and is the university’s fourth year hosting the Midwest’s largest Viking celebration. Green Bay News Network

- ➤ After a loaded handgun was found in a Preble High student’s backpack on Sept. 9, Green Bay School District announced that clear backpacks will be required starting Sept. 22—local groups and businesses have donated over $42,000 to provide free clear backpacks to families. Green Bay Press-Gazette
- ➤ On Sept. 15, 2025, Green Bay Packers legend Donald Driver visited Holy Spirit Catholic School in Appleton. He spoke about kindness—showing students how to treat others well—and joined them in games and a group picture as part of an initiative to start the school year that will help buy new school equipment. 94.3 Jack FM

- ➤ Packers quarterback Jordan Love visited football practice at Green Bay Southwest High School yesterday to launch his second annual 10ve for Cleats initiative—he aims to support youth sports by giving new Nike cleats to teams in need. Last year the Hands of 10ve Foundation donated over 1,300 pairs of cleats, and Southwest was the first school selected to receive them this season. FOX 11
