- ➤ Silver Birch Ranch, a Christian camp in White Lake, reported that on Friday, July 25 at about 1:15 p.m. a teenage camper drowned while swimming in the designated area and despite quick lifeguard and emergency action he was pronounced dead at the scene—his family was notified through their church. - ➤ The Green Bay Police and Fire Commission voted on July 22 to approve four changes to the recruitment process to fill 15 vacant patrol officer positions and plan for seven more openings due to upcoming retirements. The changes—eliminating in-person interviews, lowering college credit requirements, adding an online written exam, and shortening the review time—will be implemented in August.
