  • Brown County workers have nearly finished paving the Fox River State Recreational Trail in De Pere after three phases started in May. Brown County Parks director Matt Kriese said crews will complete the shoulder paving and line striping within a week — the $1.3 million project was funded by a state grant — user fees — donations.  FOX 11

  • Beloved local diner The Pancake Place on South Military Avenue won its 16th Best Breakfast award at the 2025 Community’s Choice Best of the Bay Awards held at the Hyatt Regency—also earning honors for Best Brunch, Best Overall Restaurant and Best Family-Friendly Diner. CRIME NEWS

  • The Green Bay Police Department is asking locals to help identify a suspect in an alleged lewd behavior case + it released a photo of the person and vehicle and urged anyone with tips to contact Officer Devalk or Crime Stoppers.  WeAreGreenBay.com

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Brown County partnered with Bug Tussel on July 24 to launch a project that will boost high-speed internet for rural residents and businesses. The project will build 270 miles of fiber—linking county 911 towers to the community network—and install eight new towers to close the digital divide.  WNCY
  • Green Bay Mayor Eric Genrich proclaimed July 25 as Mark Murphy Day to honor outgoing Packers President and CEO Mark Murphy, who led the team to success and helped grow community projects like Titletown and Give Big Green Bay—both the Nitschke and Starr bridges were lit in green and gold and he received a Key to the City.
