- ➤ Brown County workers have nearly finished paving the Fox River State Recreational Trail in De Pere after three phases started in May. Brown County Parks director Matt Kriese said crews will complete the shoulder paving and line striping within a week — the $1.3 million project was funded by a state grant — user fees — donations. - ➤ Brown County partnered with Bug Tussel on July 24 to launch a project that will boost high-speed internet for rural residents and businesses. - ➤ Green Bay Mayor Eric Genrich proclaimed July 25 as Mark Murphy Day to honor outgoing Packers President and CEO Mark Murphy, who led the team to success and helped grow community projects like Titletown and Give Big Green Bay—both the Nitschke and Starr bridges were lit in green and gold and he received a Key to the City.
