- ➤ Green Bay's Shipyard District launched a donation box on July 23 on the south side of 8th Street Park that offers free items—like blankets, bandages, and hygiene supplies. Neighborhood leaders said the permanent box supports local low-income families and children in need. WNCY
- ➤ At the Brown County Jail, selected inmates have worked since last summer in a community garden program funded by the Packers Give Back to grow produce such as lettuce, tomatoes and peppers for donation to Paul's Pantry — the program gives inmates weekly classes on gardening while helping meet the food needs of up to 300 local households. - ➤ Brown County joined with Bug Tussel on July 24 to launch a $27.2 million broadband project aimed at expanding high-speed fiber access in rural areas—building 270 miles of fiber and eight new towers at Pittsfield Town Hall. - ➤ The City of Green Bay announced its new online volunteer portal (Volgistics) on July 24th to make it easier for residents, nonprofits, and businesses to sign up for community events.
