Main Street Commons in the Olde Main District fully reopened after nearly two years of restoration following a crash on July 24, 2023 that caused nearly $6 million in damage to 14 local businesses.
The restored building now features a new outdoor patio and public art—elements that honor its historic legacy.
On Saturday, UScellular set a world record in Green Bay by launching a 507-foot mini golf course (recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records) at Leicht Memorial Park for a free Unplug and Play Day where families could tee off and unplug.
Alec Ingold, Bay Port High School alum and Miami Dolphins fullback, hosted his school’s first block party Saturday evening—his Ingold Family Foundation raised money and toy donations to help local children.

On Friday, July 11th, Junk in the Trunk Antique Mall at 423 Dousman St in Green Bay offered a wide array of antiques, collectibles, and decor including a Super Mario figure and a welded Packers sign—its new owners preserved a wall of band posters as a tribute to its past as The Exclusive Company.
🎭 Culture
On Saturday, LEGO lovers gathered at Bay Beach for the tenth annual LEGO event where 55 tables featured custom creations—such as skyscrapers, castles, and a Harry Potter layout—and building contests were held; admission was $1 and the event ran through Sunday at 3 p.m.
🎓 Education
UW-Green Bay and St. Norbert College will end their ROTC programs by the end of the 2026-27 school year due to U.S. Army reorganization, and new students will not enroll (only cadets with Army scholarships or current contracts will continue military science classes).
