Good morning, Green Bay. Here's your local news at a glance for Saturday, the 12th of July.

BUSINESS NEWS

  • Many Cellcom customers are upset after receiving July bills with modest adjustments for a 15-day phone outage that began May 15 due to a cyberattack — several long-term subscribers say the credit does not match the service interruption. The company said adjustments will appear with each billing cycle as service issues have been resolved, though some customers are switching providers.  WNCY
  • Residents and local subcontractors in downtown Green Bay are frustrated by ongoing issues at The Fort at the Railyard apartment complex, which opened last Tuesday after years of delays. Several subcontractors claim they are owed over $1 million in unpaid work—residents also report that promised amenities and repairs have not been provided.  FOX 11

CRIME NEWS

  • Two Green Bay brothers, who spent over 20 years in prison after DNA tests cleared them in a 1987 murder, appeared before a state panel on Friday to ask for more than $2 million each in compensation with no decision yet released.  94.3 Jack FM

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The company that led the downtown Fort at the Rail Yard apartment project said it is working with city officials to ensure all subcontractors receive payment. The CEO said discussions with Mayor Eric Genrich (the city leader) show TWG (the Indianapolis contractor) is processing outstanding documents.  WBAY
  • Green Bay will begin phase two of the Shipyard project next year along the Fox River north of the Mason Street bridge, designing a park with a great lawn for festivals and concerts, a playground, dog park, splash pad, urban beach and sand volleyball courts. The plans also include a beer garden and may later add a container park to host businesses — all aimed at boosting local recreation and tourism.  94.3 Jack FM
