- ➤ On Sunday, a fundraiser was held at Stadium View Bar and Grill to help with medical bills for Vanessa Rompa—daughter of retired WBAY anchor Kevin Rompa—who recovered from bacterial meningitis after an ear infection led to a collapse and seizure and spent nearly 10 weeks in the hospital; she said she will be able to return home in about a week and thanked her friends for their support. - ➤ Police arrested a 28-year-old Green Bay man after he sped and swerved across all four lanes near the roundabout at S Broadway Street and Main Avenue in De Pere early Sunday morning; he fled on foot after his car crashed but was soon taken into custody and transported to a hospital and jail (charges include Recklessly Endangering Safety, Eluding an Officer, Resisting/Obstructing an Officer, two counts of Felony Bail Jumping, and suspicion of impaired driving). - ➤ Green Bay Metro will change its On Demand microtransit system on July 1 to combine separate zones into one unified daytime area that offers riders flexible travel options to key destinations like De Pere, Bellevue and Austin Straubel airport.
