- ➤ This weekend, Green Bay will host summer events including tribute concerts with a string quartet performing hits by Queen, Coldplay and Imagine Dragons on June 21, comedian Mark Normand performing at the Meyer Theatre at 7 p.m., and the igNight Market on South Broadway from 5 to 10 p.m. Other events include a free airport concert by the Civic Symphony, the Tour De Pere bike race in De Pere on June 22–23 and a Horses for Healing festival at Exceptional Equestrians in Hobart on June 21. - ➤ Yesterday, Taylor Schabusiness filed a handwritten note with the court agreeing there were no grounds for an appeal of her conviction for the murder and dismemberment of Shad Thyrion—she asked for extra time to file a post-conviction motion in circuit court as directed by the appeals court. - ➤ Gov. Tony Evers announced that more than $1.8 million from the Opportunity Attraction and Promotion Fund was allocated to cover NFL Draft public safety costs for Green Bay—$961,820 for the city, $681,110 for Brown County, and $169,173 for Ashwaubenon. Event attendance on April 26 exceeded projections with nearly 600,000 people recorded—boosting local economic benefits. FOX 11
- ➤ Green Bay residents attended a town hall on June 16 where they shared personal stories about how proposed Medicaid cuts could impact their care—organizers from Citizen Action of Wisconsin and Brown County Indivisible detailed their concerns.
