- ➤ First responders were called to Rockland Park apartment complex in East De Pere on Sunday night around 7 p.m.—after lightning struck the building, leaving a hole in the roof and an electrical burning smell that prompted several residents to self-evacuate—while fire crews turned off the power and all 24 residents were displaced pending further evaluation with no injuries reported. - ➤ On Sunday evening the Green Bay Metro Fire Department responded to a house fire at a single-family home on the 2000 block of Preble Avenue — residents had evacuated before crews arrived and the fire was quickly extinguished, displacing two people and leading to the safe rescue of a pet. WBAY
- ➤ Lightning struck a two-story apartment complex on the 2100 block of Ryan Road in De Pere on Sunday evening, displacing 24 tenants until an electrician verifies the damage—firefighters noted a burnt electrical smell but no injuries or fire. NBC 26
