COMMUNITY NEWS

  • On June 6-7, the Wisconsin DNR will host its 14th annual Free Fun Weekend, waiving park fees, fishing licenses & trail passes at state parks & trails. Families can enjoy free fishing clinics & outdoor activities while exploring natural sites across the state.  FOX 11
  • Local breweries Noble Roots, Cocoon, Stillmank and Zambaldi Beer competed on Saturday at a pop tab toss in Green Bay to collect aluminum for Ronald McDonald House in Milwaukee. Zambaldi won by gathering more than 175 pounds and their efforts contribute to nearly half a million dollars raised over 20 years for families in need.  WBAY
  • MeatFest at Resch Expo on Saturday featured free cooking demos, live music, vendor samples and a kids' cooking contest judged by four local celebrities including Bill Jartz; organizers said the event promoted local businesses and will invite contest winners back next year.  WBAY

  • A fan suffered an injury during an on-field promotion at a Green Bay Blizzard game at the Resch Center on May 29, 2026 — he was taken off the field on a stretcher and transported to the hospital as a precaution.  94.3 Jack FM

CULTURE NEWS

  • The inaugural S.E.A. The Arts in Ashwaubenon celebrated Hmong art and culture May 30 with local artists, dancers, and chefs. Partners HANDS, Lotus Lantern, and the Hmong Center highlighted services — and preserved heritage during festivities from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with a night party that followed.  FOX 11

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Green Bay Preble held its graduation ceremony for the Class of 2026 at the Kress Center on May 30. Seniors received diplomas and heard speeches from leaders (including principal Courtney Kuehn and class president Katie Meyer) marking a milestone in their journey.  Green Bay Press-Gazette
  • Students at Aldo Leopold Community School unveiled a new big art installation during the Legacy Day celebration on Saturday, May 30, after months of working with experts. The art piece will remain on display at the school permanently.  WBAY
  • Green Bay Southwest High School celebrated its Class of 2026 graduation on May 30 at the Kress Center. The ceremony featured speeches by principal Michael Whisler and other leaders.  Green Bay Press-Gazette
