EDUCATION NEWS

  • A Northeast Wisconsin researcher discovered a new species of mosasaur lizard in Texas that lived 80 million years ago, and a replica skull is now on display at the History Museum at the Castle—highlighting its unique double row of teeth.  WNCY
  • On Wednesday, 330 high school students were honored at Lambeau Field for their academic excellence during the annual Best of the Class ceremony, where FOX 11 anchors and former Packers linebacker George Koonce promoted service and leadership (marking 26 years of the program).  FOX 11
  • CollegeReady Takes Center Stage celebrated first-generation students at The Weidner as they signed college letters of intent and prepared to attend UW-Green Bay, NWTC, and UW-Milwaukee.   • ThedaCare welcomed its first cohort of residents in its new simulation lab (2,200 sqft) on May 26; the facility features three simulation rooms, a debrief room and a control center to train physicians, nurses and interprofessional care teams.  WNCY

  • On Wednesday evening, the Packers hosted their Protect & Serve awards ceremony at Johnsonville Tailgate Village — east of Lambeau Field — to honor 12 law enforcement officers with a K9, school resource officer, and department award, each receiving a $2,000 grant for community work.  FOX 11

REAL ESTATE NEWS

  • Residents in Wrightstown met with Cloverleaf Infrastructure on Tuesday, May 5 to express concerns over data center plans — citing potential health, environmental and transparency issues. The developer noted it has not acquired land and encouraged the village to learn from nearby projects in Port Washington and Beaver Dam.  WTAQ
