  • Crisis Café prepares about 250 warm meals each week for families, elders, and caregivers in Green Bay and now is asking for supply donations—especially packaging materials and plastic utensils—to maintain its service. Volunteers cook meals on Thursdays for delivery on Fridays and appreciate help with donations of time, supplies, or food.  WBAY
  • Green Bay police are joining a state expansion of a youth engagement program by distributing comic-inspired Brewers trading cards to local children—officers will carry cards featuring fan favorites like Christian Yelich to build connections during patrols.  WTAQ

ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A car rear-ended a pickup truck on U.S. Highway 41 in Little River Friday at 11 a.m., leaving the 64-year-old truck driver dead and the 39-year-old car driver injured as he was taken to a Green Bay hospital — the investigation is ongoing.  WHBY

BUSINESS NEWS

  • Cellcom made steady progress in restoring voice service after last week's outage, with the company restoring some voice services on Saturday and confirming on Sunday that customer data remains safe. Further updates are expected today—officials say the complex process is still underway.  WHBY

CRIME NEWS

  • Green Bay police said they found no evidence of foul play after recovering the body of Elisabeth Babcock, 47, from the Fox River near the 100 block of Bay Beach Road on May 9.  94.3 Jack FM
  • Green Bay police data show that crimes against persons rose 18% from 2023 to 2024 and police chief Chris Davis said the increase—marked by more aggravated assaults and kidnapping cases—may be linked to a rise in domestic violence even as burglaries and shoplifting dropped.  Green Bay Press-Gazette

  • Green Bay Police Department added two new officers—Patrol Officer John Lannoye and Patrol Officer Rogelio Contreras-Gomez—during a swearing-in ceremony on Monday. Officer Bashir Buruin, with six years on the job, was promoted to sergeant at the same event.  WTAQ
