- ➤ The Brown County Library held a weekly resource fair on Tuesday, May 12 at 515 Pine St from 2 to 3:45 p.m. Local groups including House of Hope and Foundations Health and Wholeness aided families, and Family and Childcare Resources will bring new programs next week. WBAY
- ➤ Twenty beagles from Ridglan Farms arrived Monday evening at the Wisconsin Humane Society's Green Bay campus & are now with foster families to recover before adoption. Another 25 beagles will arrive later this week & interested adopters are encouraged to visit the Society's website. WNCY
- ➤ The Packers, Brewers and Bucks will host a Flight of Champions Honor Flight on Saturday, June 20 to take 180 veterans to Washington D.C. for a tour of memorials — community members are invited to welcome them back at Austin Straubel at 6 p.m. FOX 11
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Lambeau Field will host country star Luke Combs in a two-night concert this weekend. Tailgating and Titletown activities begin at 2:45 p.m. in the stadium parking lots + rules require clear bags and cashless payments. WBAY
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Ashwaubenon High School sophomore Colin DeMars won first place in a county-wide home design contest Tuesday, besting more than 40 floor plans (award presented on-site by the Brown County Home Builders Association) during his Civil Engineering and Architecture course. WBAY
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Green Bay’s Plan Commission unanimously approved the conditional use permit for Safe Haven Hope Center (S Jefferson Street). The permit, subject to six conditions and pending final approval by the Common Council on May 19, allows up to 26 people and bans alcohol and drug use on the property. WNCY
