COMMUNITY NEWS
- ➤ On Monday, a blood drive was held at Lambeau Field’s Johnsonville Tailgate Village from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.—the American Red Cross and Green Bay Packers teamed up to address the need for blood with a goal of collecting 300 pints while donors received giveaways and a chance at Packers prizes. WBAY
- ➤ The annual Stamp Out Hunger food drive returned on Saturday as local letter carriers and The Salvation Army worked together to collect non-perishable food donations from Green Bay residents. Mayor Genrich also helped while donations nearly doubled at two post offices and final totals will be released later this week. WeAreGreenBay.com

- ➤ The Packers Athletic Club held a ribbon cutting Monday and will welcome members today at its new facility just east of the U.S. Venture Center, offering a 15,500-square-foot workout area, multiple performance zones, classes, training services and premium recovery amenities — including saunas, hot tubs and a café. Memberships for individuals 16 and older are available in two plans, and the club will operate from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays and 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekends. FOX 11
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A drunk driver pleaded guilty to second-degree reckless injury and operating while intoxicated causing injury—he ran over a police officer’s foot during a traffic stop on Nov. 19, 2023 in the 700 block of Bodart Street and will be sentenced on July 24. WNCY
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ WisDOT announced I-41 freeway and ramp closures in Outagamie County for the week of May 12 to reconstruct and expand 23 miles from Appleton to De Pere. Motorists will face overnight and morning lane reductions starting today and on upcoming days—detours will guide drivers along Wisconsin Avenue and Ballard Road while work zone safety remains a priority.
