Voting for the annual Wisconsin Fat Bird Week contest began Friday, May 8 at 9 a.m. in a bracket-style competition featuring eight native birds including the Massive Meadowlark and the Chungus Cardinal, with the winner to be announced on May 18 by the Natural Resources Foundation of Wisconsin.

Today, a charity pickleball tournament raises funds for the AJ Dillon Family Foundation at The Picklr, 2610 Holmgren Way in Ashwaubenon from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for $10, and NFL running back AJ Dillon will join youth while food from Kicking Barbecue and Sara’s Gelato is available.

WisDOT will repair the Walnut Street bridge in downtown starting fall 2028 through spring 2029.
