  • The 34th Annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive will occur Saturday, May 9 as USPS carriers and volunteers collect non-perishable food from neighborhood mailboxes to help reach a goal of over 90,000 pounds, building on last year’s 86,000-pound total.  NBC 26

CULTURE NEWS

  • On Broadway, Inc. announced the 2026 lineup for the free Levitt AMP Green Bay Music Series, a 10-week event starting May 31 at Leicht Park downtown. Concerts will run Sundays from 4 to 6:30 p.m. and include placemaking activities for all ages.  WBAY
  • Radio and television broadcasters from Wisconsin gathered in Madison on Saturday to celebrate the state's 75th anniversary of the WBA Awards. WTAQ earned seven first place awards in news/talk radio for entries created in 2025 among 1,322 submissions from 108 stations.  WNCY

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Four elementary schools in the Green Bay School District—MacArthur, Kennedy, Elmore, and Langlade—hosted final open houses on May 3 for community members to share memories before they close at the end of the school year, with many alumni and staff expressing heartfelt nostalgia.  94.3 Jack FM

HEALTH NEWS

  • Tick bites and potential Lyme disease symptoms have increased in wooded areas across northeast Wisconsin this spring, according to local doctors. They advise wearing light clothing and checking for ticks after outdoor activities, as experts note the chance of Lyme disease from a bite is 1-2%.  WNCY

REAL ESTATE NEWS

  • De Pere’s Common Council will review Tuesday a $70 million housing plan by New Land Enterprises—a firm working in downtown Green Bay—that would build 198 units with retail and riverfront space near the Claude Allouez Bridge; construction will begin this fall and finish in the fourth quarter of 2028.  WNCY
  • Today, De Pere Common Council will review a $70 million conceptual plan for a 198-unit riverfront housing development by New Land Enterprises at the Fox River. The plan includes condos, market-rate apartments, retail + amenities, with construction set to start in Q4 and finish in Q4 2028.  WTAQ

SPORTS NEWS

  • The Packers unveiled the UW Health Gate on Monday at the north side of Lambeau Field, replacing the longtime Bellin Health Gate with a multi-year deal with a Madison-based health system. The new gate gives fans access to the upper concourse (club and suite levels) on gamedays.  WTAQ
  • The Green Bay Packers and Oneida Nation continue their nearly 30-year partnership with a multi-year agreement — Oneida Casino Hotel will now sponsor key gameday features, including the attendance tracker and a new game in the Packers app — at Lambeau Field.  WNCY
