- ➤ Preble High School hosts its first Hornet Community Market today — a collaboration among local vendors, student groups, and entrepreneurs — in its parking lot from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thirty vendors, including Favoryt Brand, will sell plants, flowers, and skin care items with proceeds benefiting the school. - ➤ Port officials are asking the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to ease high Fox River flows today because heavy rains and dam releases have made docking unsafe. Vessels are diverting to other ports, adding millions in extra costs that will affect local businesses and residents. 94.3 Jack FM
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The Wisconsin Early Autism Project opened its new Green Bay Learning Center on April 20 at the I-43 Business Center at 3189 Voyager Drive. The facility will offer ABA therapy to up to 50 children — easing resource strain at the De Pere center while expanding local autism services. WTAQ
- ➤ UWGB and the Wisconsin Technical College System announced Thursday that starting this fall, graduates from the Foundations of Teacher Education program can transfer 60 credits as a block + bypass course-by-course reviews. - ➤ Gov. Tony Evers ordered U.S. and state flags to be flown half-staff tomorrow to honor firefighters who died in the line of duty during the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service.
