- ➤ Crews began taking down the NFL Draft Theater and footprint on Sunday, April 27 after the event, which drew more than 600,000 fans, ended. Former players and local community members fondly recalled the three-day celebration — expressing hope that Titletown will host the event again. FOX 11
ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ An 18-year-old from De Pere was pronounced dead after he was thrown from his motorcycle when it crashed into another vehicle on Ashland Avenue at the Mike McCarthy Way intersection on April 26 at 11:25 p.m.—the crash also hospitalized an 84-year-old woman from Ashwaubenon with serious injuries. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Local wildlife experts reported that endangered piping plovers have returned to the Cat Island Causeway near Green Bay, including one bird nicknamed Ms. Packer with green and yellow leg bands who previously raised 10 chicks — she is preparing to nest as five birds have been spotted. Officials ask that birdwatchers keep a safe distance from the area — it remains off limits to the public due to active construction. FOX 11
