- ➤ Uncle Mike’s Bake Shoppe will host its second annual Kringle Combine today on Washington Street (part of the Block Party), featuring five new kringle flavors and a $5 tasting ticket that lets visitors vote to raise money for the Salvation Army. WBAY
- ➤ The Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Bellevue now accepts donations of appliances, building materials, flooring, furniture, hardware and metal tools — available by drop-off at 1967 E. Allouez Avenue or via free pickup — with profits used to build homes in Brown County. FOX 11

- ➤ At the UWGB Nonprofit Leadership Conference on April 16, nonprofit leaders said reducing overhead alone did not boost impact and stressed the need for business strategies to improve outcomes. - ➤ Cody Johnson, a Grammy-winning country music artist, will bring his Live '26 tour to the Resch Center on Friday, Aug. 28 at 7:30 p.m. Special guests include Clint Black and Chayce Beckham; tickets go on sale Friday, May 1 (via the Resch Center box office). FOX 11

- ➤ Lovell Ives died on April 11 at 97; he was a longtime music educator at UW Green Bay who launched the jazz ensemble and arranged school anthems. His work lives on as his compositions are heard at athletic events & graduations. UW-Green Bay

- ➤ Green Bay officials planted a Liberty Tree along the Fox River on Arbor Day and previewed America 250 plans to unfold on July 4 at Leicht Park (the event will include ceremonies, music, a citizenship ceremony, fireworks and family activities). WBAY
- ➤ S. Grandview Road between Courier Road and Catalina Drive is closed due to a bridge closure after heavy rain events — Public Works has not set a reopening date and advises drivers to plan alternate routes while local access for residences and businesses remains available. FOX 11
