COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Today, Green Bay hosts NFL Draft events that include a music fest with free draft beer and fireworks at Leicht Memorial Park from 4 to 11 p.m., a football challenge at City Stadium from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. where Randi Mahomes will lead a quarterback contest, and a food truck alley on South Broadway running through April 26. Another event, Taste of the Draft at Schreiber Foods from 4 to 7 p.m., offers a supper club experience with Packers greats—tickets cost $800 to help end student hunger.  Green Bay Press-Gazette
  • On Tuesday, the NFL and Little Caesar's Love Kitchen served warm meals and fun activities at New Community Shelter with former Packers and current Vikings player Aaron Jones + other players. The league will host more events through Saturday, including a tree planting project and a school nutrition effort, to boost the community in Green Bay.  FOX 11
  • Green Bay is hosting the kickoff for the NFL Draft with the Draft City Music Festival at Leicht Park today — the event features live music starting at 4 p.m., food vendors, and a kids’ zone. It will end with a fireworks show at 8:30 p.m. and continue on Saturday night with additional live music.  WBAY

CULTURE NEWS

  • Downtown Green Bay is hosting the free, family-friendly Draft City Music Fest at Leicht Park, which starts today at 4 p.m. on the eve of the NFL Draft, and will continue with an encore music show Saturday at 5 p.m. The event features a Kids Zone (bounce houses, face painting, balloon animals) and a Glow Zone (fireworks at 8:30 p.m.), along with a beer garden, food trucks, a skate park and a Packers drum line.  FOX 11

EDUCATION NEWS

  • UW-Green Bay has launched a new Master’s in Public Administration program that gives students three course tracks—traditional, accelerated, and executive—to build skills for public service. Student Gage Beck, who worked with the Greater Green Bay YMCA, chose the program for its affordability and flexible learning that helps him stay in Green Bay.  UW-Green Bay

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • As severe weather season looms, county emergency management officials warned that residents in manufactured homes face high risks from tornado winds—these officials advised planning ahead by identifying safe public shelters like fire stations or libraries since certified storm shelters are limited. The guidance stresses that having a clear plan during blue sky days is crucial for safety when traditional structures cannot withstand even weak tornadoes.  WNCY

LIFESTYLE NEWS

  • A new study released Monday ranks Green Bay among the top 100 best places to live in the U.S. based on factors like housing, transportation, and amenities. Green Bay earned a Quality of Life LivScore of 648/1000 — ranking high for transportation, amenities, and housing/cost of living.  WTAQ

SPORTS NEWS

  • Crews are finalizing work at Lambeau Field as the NFL Draft campus is set to open at noon tomorrow for the NFL Draft from April 24 to 26 while hundreds of thousands of fans are expected.
