- ➤ The Pyrotechnic Guild International will host its annual fireworks festival at Wisconsin International Raceway in Kaukauna this August. The event features three public shows on Aug. 8, 12, and 15 and is expected to draw over 2,000 attendees and boost local businesses (bringing an estimated $2–$2.5 million in revenue). WBAY
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Baird Elementary counselor Jen Kelm became the first non-teacher to win a Golden Apple Award from the Greater Green Bay Chamber on Feb. 17 after support from students and colleagues. A ceremony airs on CW 14 at 6 p.m. April 23 and FOX 11 at 11 a.m. April 25. FOX 11

- ➤ Floodwaters raised concerns about contaminated private well water so the DNR advises homeowners to stop using the water if it is overtopped, ponded, or shows changed taste, odor, or color—switch to bottled, municipal, or boiled water until disinfection and testing are completed. WBAY
