- ➤ During NFL Draft week, NFL will host a range of community events in Green Bay from April 24-26 that include tree planting with the Oneida Nation at Amelia Cornelius Culture Park, an Earth Day cleanup at Bomier Boat Launch, and school programs in De Pere and Ashwaubenon. Other events will feature a Habitat for Humanity project with Clay Matthews and Lowe’s, a chalk talk with military service members, and a youth football clinic and Madden championship at Lambeau Field—efforts designed to support local residents and boost sustainability. - ➤ 18-year-old Rosemary Williams was charged Tuesday with felony murder and conspiracy to commit armed robbery in connection with the drug deal-related murder of Brandon Ramirez on Berner Street last August—she is the fifth suspect charged, faces a $100,000 cash bond, and will return to court on May 28. - ➤ Green Bay school district is asking alumni for nominations to its first Hall of Fame induction. The GBAPS Education Foundation requires nominees to be graduates from East, Preble, Southwest and West who finished school at least 20 years ago — nominations remain open until May 31 — and plans to notify inductees in July with the ceremony held in October. - ➤ The Green Bay Police and Green Bay Metro Fire have acquired a new incident command vehicle built on a 2024 Freightliner M2 chassis with a 450 hp engine that will be stationed at Lambeau Field during the NFL Draft. The mobile command center features three rooms with four slide-outs, 12 workstations, triple-redundant internet and five external cameras—taxpayers saved half a million dollars by sharing the purchase. - ➤ Packers GM Brian Gutekunst said the team is still deciding whether to trade or keep longtime cornerback Jaire Alexander whose injuries and high cap cost have raised questions about his future.
