  • The NFL announced a series of community events in Green Bay during NFL Draft week that include a park cleanup on April 21, a youth clinic on April 23, and a social service event on April 24. Residents can join free or ticketed programs at various local sites—each event focuses on boosting community involvement and celebrating football's local impact.  FOX 11
  • Homelessness went up in Brown County as 86 unsheltered people were counted in 2024 compared to 5 in 2019—now 73 have been unofficially counted in 2025.   • Green Bay Austin Straubel International Airport is preparing for the NFL Draft that will bring tens of thousands of visitors through its terminal next week, while Appleton International Airport is adding new gates to manage the extra traffic. Airport officials said extra staff and updated procedures are in place and advise passengers to arrive at least 90 minutes early—this week will be the busiest in 20 years.  WeAreGreenBay.com

  • Police arrested a 45 year old woman this morning in connection with a Sunday night stabbing at the 1300 block of Smith Street where a 41 year old man died from a stab wound—officials say the incident appears isolated following a domestic dispute.  NBC 26
  • James Dorr pleaded not guilty Monday to five charges—including first-degree intentional homicide and mistreatment of animal causing death—after officers found his addiction sponsor and his dog dead in an apartment on Capitol Drive on Jan. 28; he is set to return to court on June 13.  WNCY

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Local and state leaders urged the legislature to approve a $1.25 million funding package to cover public safety costs during the upcoming NFL Draft—ensuring local taxpayers do not shoulder the full burden. The event, set to begin in 10 days, will draw hundreds of thousands of visitors and boost the local economy by an estimated $94 million—officials reported.  NBC 26

  • Green Bay is undergoing road closures and parking changes as construction for the NFL Draft site moves into its next phase—most parking lots at Lambeau Field and Titletown are now closed and detour routes are active. Additional closures will take effect in the coming days, and visitors should follow posted detour signs and use designated parking areas until the work is complete—official hours may change soon.  WBAY
