- ➤ FOX 11 won 11 awards at the Midwest Broadcast Journalism Association Eric Sevareid Awards on April 12th in Minneapolis—earning three First Place awards and eight Awards of Merit. The station outperformed every other Green Bay television outlet at the event. FOX 11
- ➤ Vandervest Harley Davidson in Green Bay is getting ready for more visitors because of the NFL Draft, showing hundreds of unique bikes and offering free shipping for buyers from out of town. CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Appleton police reported that Craig Redmond, 35, was sentenced in Calumet County—he will serve 10 years in jail and face 20 years of extended supervision—for recklessly providing fentanyl that led to a fatal overdose of a 32-year-old man in his home in August 2023. WBAY
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Green Bay’s eastbound lanes of Lombardi Avenue have been closed since Sunday, April 13 due to road work ahead of the NFL Draft. The DOT plans to close the northbound Interstate 41 on-ramp from WIS 15/County OO/Northland Avenue on Wednesday, April 16 in the evening—other ramps remain partially closed. FOX 11
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced a voluntary recall of over 1,000 lbs of Blue Ridge Beef puppy and kitten mix sold between January 3 and January 24 after tests found salmonella and listeria.
