  • Families enjoyed NEW Zoo’s Eggstravaganzoo event on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. despite rain; the event featured treat stations, games, a scavenger hunt for slither-hoppers, and animal shows with monkeys, otters, and the Easter Bunny—tickets cost $15 or $20 combo with free entry for children under 3.  WBAY
  • Allouez residents are invited to vote for a new playground design at Webster Park until April 19. The winning design will be reviewed by the Parks, Recreation and Forestry Committee and Village Board, with installation set to finish by Oct. 31.  WTAQ
  • Residents in Allouez are invited to vote on a new playground design for Webster Park + three design options are available and voting is open through April 19, with the winning design recommended to village officials and installation expected by Oct. 31.  94.3 Jack FM

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The city granted Safe Haven Hope Center a temporary permit at 315 S. Jefferson St. to run a homeless shelter for nine residents until June 30. The shelter will host donut runs to engage neighbors as it applies for a permanent conditional use permit.  94.3 Jack FM
  • Bellevue Public Works warns drivers of flooding that is closing Monroe Road from Highway 172 to Hoffman Road & part of Hoffman Road while also closing Sheriffs Way and Development Drive, and crews monitor water on Willow Road and flooding near local subdivisions.  FOX 11
