- ➤ Safe Haven Pet Sanctuary plans to take over Newcap's building on Jefferson Street to launch Safe Haven Hope Center as a homeless shelter pending city approval; the facility will offer 6 to 12 months of housing plus cat rehabilitation volunteer work to support residents in securing permanent housing. - ➤ On Friday, March 20, the Suamico Fire Department rescued a 3-year-old Labrador named Mitsy after she fell through the ice about 100 feet from shore near the Bay of Green Bay at Sensiba Wildlife Refuge and reunited her with her owner after EMS evaluated her (WTAQ-WLUK). WNCY

- ➤ UW‑Green Bay Piano Day 2026 will bring young musicians, families and music lovers together March 27–28 at Fort Howard Hall in The Weidner, featuring a guest recital by Michael Gurt on Friday and student performances on Saturday with masterclasses and workshops to support emerging talent.
