- ➤ Notre Dame Academy received a $250,000 grant from the Green Bay Packers Give Back program on Wednesday to support its future health + wellness center, which will offer extra space for physical education and sports programs for over 730 students. WNCY
- ➤ The Fine Arts Institute at East High School is safe for next year but may face cuts later as the district works to fill an $8M gap. Locals can share their views at the School Board meeting Monday, Mar. 23 at 6 p.m. (200 South Broadway Street). FOX 11
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Gov. Tony Evers signed a bipartisan bill to extend postpartum Medicaid coverage from 60 days to one year, making Wisconsin the 49th state to offer the expanded care. Advocates say the change will help new moms receive vital support and lower pregnancy-related deaths. NBC 26
- ➤ On Thursday, Gov. Evers signed Gail’s Law to remove out-of-pocket fees for supplemental breast screenings for women with dense tissue. The unanimous bill, inspired by a Neenah woman’s experience, requires insurers + BadgerCare to cover needed diagnostic exams. 94.3 Jack FM
- ➤ After Blizzard Elsa dumped between 20 and 30 inches of snow, Brown County emergency teams helped 304 calls and lifted a temporary tow ban from March 15 to 16 (special vehicles reached stranded motorists) as officials praised the community and crews for their response. Green Bay News Network
