- ➤ Green Bay is hosting a community Earth Day cleanup event at Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary from 9:00 a.m. to noon on April 22—city leaders, AmeriCorps and volunteers will restore parks, trails and shorelines ahead of the NFL Draft with only 325 volunteer spots available. NBC 26
- ➤ Uncle Tom's Candy Store in Ellison Bay will hold its second annual sale this coming weekend—March 21 and 22—with in-store hours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and online discounts from 8 a.m. Friday to 11:59 p.m. Saturday; all profits will benefit House of Hope in Green Bay as the shop, which makes its candies by hand using century-old recipes, hopes to double last year's donation. - ➤ Jackson Vogel, an inmate at Green Bay Correctional Institution, is set for a trial on June 2 for the alleged killing of his cellmate, Micah Laureano, on Aug. 27 at the Allouez facility—Vogel pleaded not guilty and plans to use a mental disease defense. FOX 11
