- ➤ St. Vincent de Paul will relocate two east-side thrift stores in late spring—its longtime Weise Street shop moves to the former Planet Fitness building at 1831 Main Street, and its Dig & Save store shifts to the vacated Weise Street location near its offices. WBAY
- ➤ Today, Give BIG Green Bay raised a record $3.7M in 24 hours from 6,000 donors supporting 50 nonprofits; 42% of donors were new. A $250K Packers Foundation impact grant & extra donations pushed matching funds above $550K, with the Community Foundation set to distribute the aid and honor top nonprofits. WNCY
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ St. Norbert College launched its new Pennings Promise Plan to make tuition free for eligible students from local Catholic high schools. The college will cover tuition costs nearing $47,000 annually with state, federal and college scholarships—helping students stay close to home. 94.3 Jack FM
- ➤ Fox Valley Literacy unveiled its State of Literacy report today, showing that over 1.5 million adults in Wisconsin qualify for literacy services and over 50% read below a 6th-grade level; the report calls for local action to tackle job and reading barriers. FOX 11

GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ On March 4, Green Bay City Council hired design and engineering firm ISG to oversee the construction of a new pavilion and biergarten at Leicht Memorial Park. Construction starts March 12 and must finish within nine months to secure ($5 million) in tax funds. Green Bay Press-Gazette
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ More than 40 emergency services personnel and Bellin College students took part in a mass casualty training exercise outside Emplify Health by Bellin — practicing rapid response techniques based on past events. Executive Assistant to the Superintendent and Board of Education
The Executive Assistant to the Superintendent and Board of Education will work independently to provide administrative support to ensure smooth operations in accordance with policies and procedures. They will demonstrate exemplary communication skills that will reflect positively on HSSD. Serving as a liaison, the individual will offer timely assistance and be resourceful for both internal and external stakeholders while handling confidential matters with discretion. This is a 12 month position with an ideal start date of March 16, 2026. Competitive salary commensurate with experience and full benefit package.
