COMMUNITY NEWS
- ➤ Green Bay’s Gardeners Club received a $1,000 Canary Fund grant for Quarry Park garden beautification. The funds will add pollinator plants and install educational signage for trail users as part of a three-year civic project with local partners. WBAY
ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Yesterday at about 2:20 p.m., fire crews responded to a blaze in the third locker room at Lambeau Field+ the sprinkler system quickly controlled the fire and no one was injured while investigators look into the cause. WNCY
- ➤ A fire destroyed a stacker building at the Neopit wood mill today + damaging lumber inventory while officials investigate the blaze. FOX 11
- ➤ A fire broke out Tuesday at Lambeau Field’s third locker room for non-NFL events, and the sprinkler system mostly contained it—firefighters extinguished the remaining flames and began investigating, with no injuries reported. 94.3 Jack FM

- ➤ Liverpool Legends, a Beatles tribute band, will perform at Meyer Theatre on Friday, May 29, at 7:30 p.m. (Tickets go on sale Friday, March 6.) FOX 11

- ➤ UW-Green Bay will honor distinguished alumni at its Awards dinner on Tuesday, March 24 at the Phoenix Rooms in the University Union, highlighting honorees Tom Anderson ’78, Laura Stillman ’77, Jordan Lorenz ’12, Laura Bauer Lotto and honorary recipients Richard and Sharon Resch; tickets cost $30. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Green Bay Water will begin water main repairs near E. Mason and Main from March 9 to March 23 (one traffic lane will remain open for BP access at 2115 Main). The project is scheduled during lower winter demand and will not interrupt water service. WTAQ
- ➤ Green Bay officials announced a mill-and-pave resurfacing project on Shawano Avenue from west of Oakland to Hudson Street this summer to ease potholes ahead of a 2031 rebuild. The effort will be coordinated to minimize disruption for drivers and residents. WTAQ
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ ThedaCare will close its long-standing Weyauwega clinic on June 30 due to a provider's retirement (a community fixture for more than 50 years), prompting patients to travel to New London, Waupaca, or the Fox Cities for care. Officials are contacting affected patients and coordinating transfers to other facilities. WNCY
