Give BIG Green Bay returns for its ninth year today as community members join 24 hours of fundraising for 50 nonprofits, with the Packers Foundation providing a $250,000 matching grant & awarding grants to Dogs2DogTags, Guitars for Vets, and Big Brothers Big Sisters.

The Green Bay Bicycle Collective has been selected to benefit from the 24-hour Give BIG fundraiser, which runs from noon Wednesday to noon Thursday.

Donations will support refurbished bikes, park repairs, and youth education for cycling safety.

The 2026 World Championship Cheese Contest is set in Madison from March 3 to 5 with dairy makers from 34 states and 25 countries, including 23 from Northeast Wisconsin; public can watch judging and sample cheeses on March 3 to 4 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (free).

Green Bay City Council approved a $244,045 Wisconsin DNR grant to support the recreation portion of a $1.9M East River Emilie Park redevelopment (adding fishing areas and nature watching spots) during Wednesday night; construction for the full project will begin in 2027.

The city is considering an amendment to a 2021 Shipyard apartments plan that would require vertical construction to begin by June 1 or the city will repurchase for one dollar.
