  • Safe Haven Pet Sanctuary opened on Jan. 23 as a temporary shelter during the January cold snap, and city officials said a second complaint about the building was ruled unfounded after earlier issues were resolved.  94.3 Jack FM
  • Amanda's House, a sober living facility for women and children, is launching a $2.5 million campaign to add six new bedrooms, a renovated kitchen and laundry area amid a waitlist of 40 women. The facility expects to finish the expansion in about a year and a half in Green Bay.  94.3 Jack FM

  • Local shops in Ashwaubenon and the city are coping with volatile silver and gold prices that have led to a rise in counterfeit (fake) coin sales online. Shop owners advise customers to consult reputable local experts before buying to ensure coin authenticity.  WNCY

  • Green Bay school district leaders will hold public meetings next week to address the ongoing budget deficit and steps taken to stabilize finances — community members can join Tuesday, Feb. 17 at East High School commons or Wednesday, Feb. 18 at Southwest High School commons.  WTAQ

  • The former strip mall site in Allouez will become a 100-unit apartment and retail project as construction begins this spring and finishes in summer 2027 - a plan designed to create a Main Street feel and meet local housing needs.  FOX 11

  • Nearly 10,000 license holders will take to the ice for the sturgeon spearing opener Saturday at 7 a.m. on Lake Winnebago as water clarity tests across 21 sites averaged 13.8 ft & a Tuesday test measured 15 ft, though warm weather may reduce clarity further.  94.3 Jack FM
