- ➤ The Port of Green Bay has opened the 2026 First Ship Contest for community members to predict when the first ship will arrive this spring. The winner will get a prize package including a one-night stay at historic Hotel Northland + dinner for two and museum passes, with online entries. FOX 11
- ➤ The Green Bay Gamblers delivered 7,880 stuffed animals from their annual Teddy Bear Toss on Sunday to pediatric patients across northeast Wisconsin, continuing a tradition that has provided over 145,000 bears since 2000. WBAY
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Travelers without a Real ID from Austin Straubel International Airport must pay a $45 fee to fly, starting Feb. 1. The TSA directs those without compliant ID to use the ConfirmID website (a receipt remains valid for 10 days). FOX 11
- ➤ Green Bay waters southwest of the line between Peshtigo Reef and Sherwood Point lighthouses are closed for commercial vessels until weather and ice conditions allow a reopening. The U.S. Coast Guard said it will review the situation to keep recreational users safe. WBAY

- ➤ Heart attack survivor Scott Siolka urges residents to heed warning signs during National Heart Month; he nearly died (7 percent survival rate) after feeling lightheaded and sweating before receiving timely CPR, clot-busting medication and a stent. WBAY
- ➤ Research from Nationwide Children's Hospital indicates that concussions in young children are frequently misdiagnosed because they cannot easily describe symptoms — one in four kids under 6 develop lingering issues that can impact daily activities. WBAY

- ➤ Former Green Bay Gamblers goalie Adam Gajan, who played in the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons, will represent Slovakia today on an Olympic roster in Milan. The 21-year-old now starting for Minnesota-Duluth is set to gain experience among top hockey professionals. WTAQ
