- ➤ Green Bay builder Dirk Bartolazzi has made three relief trips to Jamaica with the ISSA Trust to repair homes damaged by Hurricane Melissa last October — he and his team are now raising funds to help fix hundreds more homes. WBAY
- ➤ At a UW-Green Bay winter Council of Trustees dinner (Jan. 30) Aspiro received the Community Service Award for supporting Northeast Wisconsin communities, and Capital Credit Union CEO Laurie Butz was appointed to the Council. - ➤ Local bicycle shops are organizing rides today to honor Alex Pretti, a longtime Green Bay native; Pete’s Garage will lead a 12-mile ride along Fox River Trail at 1 p.m. and Recyclist Bicycle Co. in Kaukauna will host a meet at noon. WTAQ

- ➤ Elizabeth, a UW-Green Bay Community Health Education major, saved money from flexible online classes while gaining confidence during a semester practicum at the Fond du Lac County Health Department. She is eager to use her hands-on experience to improve local community health. UW-Green Bay
- ➤ Green Bay Preble students hung a banner to honor former student Alex Pretti, whose memorial was created at the high school after his death earlier this week. They set it up on Jan. 30 with messages as strong winds affected the display, and it will be removed on Jan. 31. Green Bay Press-Gazette
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Stacey Klemp (a kidney donor from De Pere) will climb Mount Kilimanjaro in March to mark World Kidney Day and raise awareness for living organ donation. She will join 15 fellow climbers in Tanzania to show that one kidney does not limit physical challenge. 94.3 Jack FM
- ➤ A pickleball tournament called Paddles for Prevention will be held Feb. 7 and 8 at Four Seasons Tennis Club in Allouez to raise funds for De Pere youth mental health programs.
