- ➤ The annual Green Bay RV and Camping Expo kicked off Thursday at the Resch Expo in Ashwaubenon with over 100 vendors showing off RVs, campers, and outdoor gear (the 60th year of the expo). The event wraps up Sunday and gives locals a chance to plan for a warmer summer. FOX 11
- ➤ Pete's Garage is holding a memorial bike ride for cyclist Alex Pretti on Jan. 31. Cyclists will meet at Pete's Garage (142 N. Broadway) at 1 p.m. and ride 10 to 12 miles along the Fox River Trail in downtown Green Bay. Green Bay Press-Gazette
- ➤ Green Bay offers free ice skating at outdoor rinks — Astor, Beaver Dam, Colburn, Edison, Perkins, and Red Smith. Evening lighting runs from 4 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. while some parks offer warming shelters during select hours. FOX 11
- ➤ Green Bay residents can skate for free at outdoor rinks at Astor, Beaver Dam, Colburn, Edison, Perkins & Red Smith if they bring their own skates. Some sites have evening lighting from 4 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. with Colburn and Red Smith providing staffed warming shelters during scheduled hours. 94.3 Jack FM
- ➤ Triangle Hill opens today for tubing and sledding after new permanent snowmaking replaces last season's temporary setup. Parks Director Dan Ditscheit said the hill will run all weekend & operating hours will be announced later. Green Bay Press-Gazette
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Mishicot artist Michael J. Sponholtz will compete for Team USA in Olympic snow sculpting at the Olympic Art Festival in Venice starting Feb. 2. The 70-year-old (in his final competition) and his teammates from Milwaukee and La Crosse will carve a Tiffany lamp design from a 17-ton block of snow. Green Bay Press-Gazette

- ➤ EnergySolutions will soon file a licensing action to develop a molten salt reactor at the former Kewaunee Power Station site in Carlton on the shores of Lake Michigan; the multi-phase project includes planning and in-depth studies to support the NRC application for next-generation nuclear power. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Stacey Klemp of De Pere will join 15 climbers on a Mount Kilimanjaro climb in Tanzania this March to celebrate World Kidney Day and raise living kidney donation awareness. She was inspired after reading FOX 11 and plans to show that donors can meet challenging physical tests & change lives. FOX 11
- ➤ BayCare Clinic announced yesterday that Riley Meyer, DO, has been named its new Chief Medical Officer and will guide the clinic's clinical strategy. The experienced doctor previously served at Aurora BayCare Medical Center to help improve patient care. Green Bay News Network

- ➤ Sean Mannion, promoted to Packers QB coach, will join the Eagles as offensive coordinator after two interviews, leaving his role in Green Bay. The Packers plan to fill his vacancy soon as Mannion embarks on this new chapter. WBAY
