- ➤ As dangerous cold settles over Green Bay today, St. John's Ministries extends shelter hours to help people avoid the elements — staff say more residents are seeking refuge in recent days. The center works with local groups to ensure those in need have a safe place to stay. NBC 26
- ➤ Safe Haven Pet Sanctuary (151 N. Broadway) in downtown will open its doors as a daytime warming center and overnight shelter amid extreme cold to protect the homeless. The extended hours respond to concerns over frostbite and hypothermia as the cold snap continues. WBAY
- ➤ With dangerously cold weather continuing, residents are advised to protect pipes by keeping basements warm, letting faucets drip, wrapping pipes, and closing off cold drafts.
