- ➤ In 2026, cruise ships will dock six times at Leicht Memorial Park — tripling the two visits from 2025 — as American Cruise Lines and Victory Cruise Lines add stops to their itineraries, which is expected to bring nearly 800 visitors and boost the local economy by over $300 million. - ➤ Green Bay will host six cruise ship visits at Leicht Park in 2026—up from two in 2025—as Cruise the Great Lakes adds four new visits from American Cruise Lines and Victory Cruise Lines. - ➤ Green Bay school district officials recommended termination for East High School football coach Niko Sila after meeting him on Thursday. The school board will review the recommendation—while officials investigate allegations that Sila gave players rides and texted them after he was placed on administrative leave. WBAY
- ➤ UW Green Bay announced that its continuing education and workforce training programs broke the old record by enrolling 101,617 learners from July 1 to June 30, marking an 18% rise from last year—this growth came as the university expanded its range of workshops, certificates, conferences and customized training to boost career skills. - ➤ At its Tuesday night meeting, the Ashwaubenon Village Board decided not to ban camping on village property after residents said the measure would hurt homeless people— the board will work with the Brown County Housing and Homeless Coalition to find better options— as local concerns played a key role in the decision. - ➤ Green Bay residents are invited to share their opinions on remodeling the Mason Street Bridge over the Fox River.
