BUSINESS NEWS

  • Tend & Table, a new food subscription service from the Wisconsin Food Hub Cooperative, connects families with fresh produce, meats, dairy, and pantry goods from over 100 small farms across the state. The service offers weekly and monthly boxes starting at about $32 while helping farmers recover from lost federal contracts.  NBC 26
  • Broken Spoke Bike Studio will close its downtown location at the end of this week and use it for storage until its lease ends next year—owner George Kapitz said most customers come from Suamico and Ledgeview, and the WaterMark building remains for sale.  WTAQ

  • World Atlas published a report on Sept. 30 listing eight must-see attractions in Wisconsin—one of which is in Green Bay. The report highlights the state's blend of history, culture, and adventure—naming spots such as Devil’s Lake State Park and Door County.  Green Bay Press-Gazette

EDUCATION NEWS

  • St. Norbert College in De Pere dedicated Schneider Family Hall as its new business school building on Thursday—this 45,000-square-foot facility marks a fresh chapter following staff layoffs and program cuts.   • The Norbertine Order added $15 million to St. Norbert College's endowment to support its operating budget and improve academic programs. The funding comes as the college faces recent budget deficits and program cuts — a step that builds confidence in its future growth.  94.3 Jack FM

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Wisconsin Department of Health Services is asking for $69 million to keep the FoodShare program running for 700,000 people as new rules in October will put more costs on the state. The funds will pay for extra staff and quality reviews so that pantries like Rooted In in Green Bay can avoid a spike in demand—legislators will soon decide on the request.  94.3 Jack FM
  • Residents who want to spear Lake Winnebago sturgeon in the 2026 season must purchase a license by Oct. 31 — a requirement from the DNR. Both residents and non-residents can purchase online or in person, and most individuals aged 12 or older are required to have a license to support sturgeon management.  94.3 Jack FM

HEALTH NEWS

  • Green Bay schools reported cases of hand, foot and mouth disease and asked families to monitor children for symptoms. A Prevea doctor said children (one 6-year-old case) should stay home and practice good hand hygiene (especially those under seven) to prevent further spread.  FOX 11
  • Green Bay Area Public School District warns that Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease is spreading in classrooms—cases from Brown County are being reported. The district shared a flyer from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services that explains how the virus spreads and offers tips to prevent further infections.  94.3 Jack FM
